“It is completely robotic” was what fell from most people’s
lips after the release of HTC One. It however suffered some sales-converting
features, for all its warm reception enigmatically failed to siphon projected
sales number for the Taiwanese manufacturer.
Nonetheless, it is good news to hear about the features of
the freshly announced successor, HTC One (M8). A flagship which is being
perceived to be the top shaker of the season apparently was offered a shoulder
to cry on by its predecessor.
The elegant-looking smart phone has got some new features
backed by the most powerful hardware in the market today. The software is not
lagging either, as the new device runs on the latest Android version and
features a new edition of Sense UI.
More fortunate is that the flagship’s advantages would dwarf
the disadvantages to the extent that most people would just view it as though
it had no disadvantages. The phone comes with better ergonomics and the
presence of memory card slot on it is a plus over its predecessor. It also
comes with a second camera unit to collect data from distance which allows cool
effects in posting processing.
However, there is a general idea about both the first and
second generation phones which subjects me to the confines of surprise; it’s
the 4 MP camera, which is no match to the number of MP of contemporary devices
of other brands. Happy enough anyway, the 4 MP camera of both HTC One
generations is better than those of almost all of their contemporaries.
